I work at the intersection of healthcare data, governance, privacy, and AI enablement. In my current role, I help teams make sensitive data usable, auditable, and defensible—building the controls, workflows, and shared understanding that let analytics and AI move forward without creating unnecessary risk.My background spans software engineering, claims data operations, research, and higher education. That mix has made me a practical translator across technical, operational, legal, and business contexts. I’m as comfortable digging into pipelines and usage patterns as I am working through data use restrictions, governance policy, and cross-functional decision-making.Current areas of focus include claims data stewardship, access and usage traceability, HIPAA de-identification workflows, governance policy modernization, and responsible AI adoption in regulated environments.Before moving fully into data, I spent years teaching philosophy and political theory, and I still teach and guest lecture when I can. That experience continues to shape how I work: clear thinking, clear writing, and a strong bias toward making complex ideas useful.I’m especially interested in trustworthy data systems, practical AI governance, and elegant solutions to unglamorous problems.
