I have extensive experience in planning, organizing, and coordinating programs with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as volunteer groups and the public, to promote effective hazard mitigation. I have a proven track record in representing the state during pre- and post-disaster operations.Key responsibilities in my career have included conducting comprehensive planning and plan reviews, and convening and facilitating workgroups with internal and external stakeholders to continuously enhance local hazard mitigation plans. My expertise in interpreting policies, rules, and regulations allows me to provide clear guidance to staff and community members on grant administration and compliance issues, ensuring smooth resolution of related concerns.As a liaison to government agencies, community organizations, and the public, I excel in explaining program specifics and requirements, and in reviewing local jurisdiction plans for compliance with FEMA procedures and guidelines. My current and previous role involves stringent monitoring and analysis of agreements, contracts, expenses, and activities to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations.I am adept at reviewing grant applications and hazard mitigation plans, determining eligibility based on established criteria, and assisting in the preparation and processing of disaster project applications in line with applicable laws and policies. My meticulous verification of grant-related expenditures ensures compliance with defined scopes of work and guidelines.I am passionate about identifying opportunities for collaboration among state, federal, regional, and local emergency management authorities to enhance hazard mitigation efforts. I have prepared and delivered numerous reports and specialized presentations to government officials, TDEM leadership, and external partners.I graduated from Sul Ross State University with my Master of Agriculture in May of 2022. Prior to that, I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in August of 2020. I am extremely passionate about the agriculture industry. I have owned horses since I was young and even competed on the collegiate rodeo team while at Tarleton State University.
