ABOUT PAYTON MURPHY
As a Computer & Information Science major at The Ohio State University, I am passionate about leveraging technology to create seamless user experiences. Currently pursuing a B.A. with a focus on UX/UI design, I am dedicated to honing my skills and knowledge through coursework and practical application. My academic journey has equipped me with a strong skill set, including proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Java, C, C#, and various design software such as Figma. Outside of the classroom, I\'ve had the opportunity to apply my skills in real-world settings. From my time as an IT Project Management Intern at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I\'ve developed interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and strong leadership and organizational skills. These experiences have taught me the value of collaboration and efficient task management. In addition to my academic and professional endeavors, I am actively involved in extracurricular activities. As a member of the Association for Computing Machinery Women’s Chapter (ACM-W) and the UX Club at OSU, I\'ve had the privilege of learning from industry professionals, working on real-world projects, and expanding my network within the fields of technology and design. Similarly, my participation in the Buckeyes Network Abroad Program, the Running Club at The Ohio State University, and the STEP Program has enriched my collegiate experience, fostering personal growth and leadership skills. I am excited to continue my journey in the fields of computer science and interaction design, where I aim to make a positive impact through thoughtful design and cutting-edge technology.
