About Payal Mukherjee

Currently a PhD scholar in TISS, Mumbai, and as a Teaching Assistant,(and a home tutor to high school students), I am a mid-life transitioner from the corporate world, to academics. NET qualified (98.5th percentile) in Management/ HR.Earlier, my corporate experience has given me an unparalleled understanding of the business of hiring, 360 degree of business generation, operation and project completion. In Spearhead Intersearch, for more than a decade I handled executive search in all industries and functions. I have lived and worked in almost all metro cities and have deep insight into the corporate cultures of Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune and Kolkata, my home town. My stint evolved in an intrapreneural learning curve as I conceptualised, built and ran 1. the company blog, 2. internal Newsletter, 3. Facebook and 4. LinkedIn pages and 5. the SHIS Twitter page. I\'ve written/ ghost-written for various publications, and implemented new ideas and projects to bring Spearhead into the new e-era.I started my career in advertising, handling both key accounts management as well as the creative aspect. I was part of the team that accomplished the re-branding of Vijaya Bank and the creator of their current tag line:\"A friend you can bank upon\". My experience in contingency placement firm was my first brush with recruitment and it did give me a thorough understanding of how mass and mid-level recruitment works.
