ABOUT PAUL WLODKOWSKI

I am a Mechanical Engineer turned Data Scientist who enjoys wrangling, transforming, visualizing, and modeling data — and who is equally energized by collaborating with, managing, teaching, and communicating insights to others. I\'m always aiming to drive impact beyond just the code.In my early career as a management consultant in the fields of energy efficiency and transportation, I worked on projects ranging from modeling energy consumption of residential buildings to crafting and communicating policy recommendations to State transportation departments on how to improve their operations. Even before becoming a data practitioner, I was drawn to work that combined analytical thinking with a strong emphasis on communication and interpersonal skills.In 2018, I moved to Berlin, Germany to participate in an intensive data science bootcamp, where I built a portfolio of projects using the latest programming tools in machine learning, data analysis, and data engineering. Immediately after graduating from the program, I was hired as an instructor at the institution, where for nearly 3 years I trained and mentored over 200 aspiring data scientists / analysts / engineers and helped oversee the expansion of the institution to multiple cities across Germany.Since then, I’ve applied my skills in fast-paced industry environments, working on real-world data challenges and collaborating across teams to deliver insights and make data-driven decisions.
