The Chief Accounting Officer is the most senior member of the Shared Services Center (SSC) accounting & finance department and the primary contact in the SSC for the corporate accounting department- Help ensure that the technical accounting and financial reporting aspects of transactions and strategic decisions have been properly addressed and considered in the internal control environment- Responsible for a team of 80 - Oversee the operations of general accounting, financial reporting including 75 balance sheets and 350 plus profit and loss for the India, Sri Lanka, Middle East & North Africa, South Africa, & German entities of the Groupe - Ensure compliance with Financial Monitoring Controls (Similar to Sox), standards and audit coordination, all in accordance with the company’s Corporate Policies and local accounting standards- Accounting support and guidance to the various agencies of the group- Involve with the Merger & Acquisition group on accounting aspects as well as integration on the shared service center platform such as Sapient, Epsilon, Digitas and Razorfish- Successfully implementation of SAP in India - Transition of transactions based tasks to hub in India to significantly reduce the cost of the group- Extensively worked on the business transformation of the SSC in partnership with the agencies to increase quality and efficiency: Implementation of Blackline and developed computer intelligenceHighlightsPromoted within one year & made responsible for Publicis Groupe entities & Sapient Received appreciation email from SSC Global CEO on timely & accurately year end closeAppreciation from SSC Global CEO on releasing user friendly handbook on internal processes Standardized processed/templates – same are implemented across APAC region
