   Finemind is transforming the way mental health care is delivered in Uganda making it local, accessible, and deeply human. Our mission is simple but ambitious: to embed mental health support directly into the public health system, so it’s no longer an afterthought or a luxury, but a core part of every check-up.We train community members and frontline health workers, people already embedded in their communities, to deliver evidence-based mental health interventions like WHO’s Problem Management Plus (PM+). These trained peer counselors are trusted, relatable, and incredibly effective. From the clinic to the front porch, they offer counseling that feels personal, not clinical.Our approach is called stepped care: we start with simple, proven tools like Interpersonal Counseling for mild symptoms, and escalate to more intensive interventions only as needed. It’s cost-effective, resource-savvy, and ensures that everyone gets the right level of care at the right time. We pair this with mobile tech (CommCare) to track every session, every outcome, and feed real-time data into Uganda’s national health system.Learn more at
