He is currently pursuing his Masters in Mechanical Engineering at NC State University, specializing in Dynamics and Controls of Spherical Rover Systems. He is a strategic, organized and logical researcher and is currently working on developing a mathematical model and control algorithms for a spherical wind driven terrestrial rover for his Master’s thesis work. He has been working with 3D printing, sensors and actuation mechanisms and wireless communication, in addition to FEA and CAD modelling. As a graduate student, he was a part of the Drone Racing club which designed and developed miniature drones for racing and recreation. At the undergraduate level, he was part of the Aeromodeling club and Super-mileage club which helped him gain knowledge and practical experience in robotics and machine design. He has worked as a research Intern at the Helicopter Labs, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, where he worked on the effects implementing various servo motors on heading control of an Autonomous Mini Helicopter. He has worked as a project Intern at SKF India. Pvt. Ltd, focusing on Nano-Lubrication in Bearings. This project lead to a successful tie-up between SKF India Pvt. Ltd. and his undergraduate college. Paurav’s career vision is to enhance robot performance in the industrial and agricultural sector through elegant and innovative machine design. His mission is to design and develop cutting edge robot systems for robust and efficient operation, and he plans to achieve these career features by virtue of his academic, research and practical skills developed over the past six years.
