Care is the largest Medicare\\ Medicaid managed care organization in the country, with $8 billion in revenue and 2.2 million members.Data Governance Program: Developing an enterprise-wide Data Governance framework within the provider domain including: regulation to policy to data rule linkage, issue and escalation workflow, and decision rights. Implemented Informatica Axon and Enterprise Data Catalog to help manage the data governance participants, critical data elements, policies, data assets, and the relationships among these facets.Data Quality Program: Instituting a data quality program within the provider data domain to identify and remediate data quality issues at their source including: Data lake ingestion and cleanse based on primary source validations, intrinsic validations against data standards, and contextual data validations. Developed the policies, processes, procedures, and cross-functional networks of data stewards and business owners to execute data remediation. Employed over 2,200 data quality rules across 9 data quality dimensions. Improved data quality from 18% to 95%. Reported data quality using Tableau on top of the data lake.Data Management: Providing leadership, design, and visibility to reference data and metadata using Informatica’s data catalog, as well as master data architecture and model design - from conceptual to logical to physical - using Informatica’s MDM. Also, implementing Informatica’s Axon for business metadata management, with an emphasis on lineage, data quality, and impact analysis of downstream systems.Information Security: Leading the data and system security classification effort including: Potential Impact Assessment using the “CIA Triad”; Data Sensitivity Assessment for proper handling and access control of PII and PHI; Data Governance Policy development based on regulations and industry guidelines; Employing Informatica’s enterprise data catalog to identify and “tag” sensitive data and its lineage.
