ABOUT PAUL WEST

As leader of a global team of data experts dedicated to the public sector, I am the face of ThinkOn’s commitment to make data thrive for government and public service organizations. My mission is to provide strategic advice, leadership, governance, and stakeholder engagement on community-driven data solutions including secure cloud services, resilient design, and enterprise applications serving the government, healthcare, public safety, and industry sectors. Decades of experience bringing technology and security resources to public services means I understand the barriers to effective data stewardship: budget restraints, escalating costs, security risks, data accessibility, sovereignty, security, governance, privacy issues, and organizational silos. By connecting the dots and implementing a secure strategy that streamlines operations, we can ensure safe and efficient services. I enjoy working with interesting people who share my passion for partnerships and public service. My first question when I meet a new teammate or client is, “What is your story?” Then, we work together to solve data challenges and develop the best outcomes. My work is all about improving lives and making the world a safer and better place. I’m dedicated to smart cities, data storage and security, energy management, and defence. This connects who I am with my belief in nurturing communities, technology, and stewardship.
