ABOUT PAUL THELEN
In my eleventh year serving in the best role at the University of Iowa. I lead a team that works daily with nonprofit leaders on areas ranging from formation to exemption to governance to leadership to strategy and beyond. I have developed and delivered over 100 high-quality workshops and presentations focused on individual and organizational capacity-building on a multitude of nonprofit topics, including advocacy, board development, collaboration, fundraising, succession planning and more. In 2024, provided over 670 services to 428 entities across Iowa. In 2015, joined planning committee of partnership organized to deliver Iowa Nonprofit Summit and facilitated several plenary panels and delivered several workshops for conferences of 200-300 attendees. In 2020, created Summer Research Associate Program that attracts top undergraduate and graduate students to our Center each year. Co-Founder and current board member and secretary of the Iowa Nonprofit Alliance-a membership network serving Iowa\'s nonprofit sector that launched in 2022. Also, in tenth year teaching two popular and highly rated nonprofit courses at the Iowa College of Law.
