As Business Unit Leader for Mead & Hunt’s Midwest Aviation Group, Paul Strege is responsible for managing the aviation staff and the quality of services provided to Mead & Hunt\'s aviation clients throughout the state. Paul provides quality assurance for many of Mead & Hunt\'s aviation projects. This involves listening to the airport sponsors, reviewing project scopes, and reviewing draft through final documents.    Paul is Mead & Hunt’s Aviation Services Leader for the Midwest. He oversees and supports the operations of Mead & Hunt’s aviation departments in Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin to serve client needs and achieve a sustainable and growing business. His responsibilities as a Business Unit Leader include overall client satisfaction, managing workload and resource assignments among staff, developing business through client and partnering relationships, recruitment and mentoring of staff, quality control and assurance, and leading the Business Unit’s business and strategic planning efforts.Additionally, Paul serves as a client manager / project manager for numerous airports in the Great Lakes and Central Region, including both general aviation and commercial service airports. As an effective leader in program management, aviation planning, engineering / design, construction management, and environmental projects, he leads and supports business development efforts for Mead & Hunt. He enjoys engaging the public so as to build support for planning efforts and proposed improvements, and has specialized skills in benefit-cost analysis as well as project justification studies.Paul\'s specific project experience includes airport master planning, ALP development, environmental assessments, new runway construction, runway extensions and re-locations, runway length analysis, benefit-cost analysis (BCA), airport NAVAIDs / VISAIDs, ILS Improvements, CAT-II systems, Instrument approach procedure development, glycol management systems, security systems, independent fee estimates, and air traffic control tower siting, design and construction.He has worked for dozens of airports in the states of MN, WI, MI, IA, NE, ND, SD, CA, and PA. These projects have included airside and landside design and construction, master planning, environmental assessments and navigational aids.
