Raising training to the power of ROI (TM):Recognised as having raised measurement of the Return on Investment (ROI) in training to the level of Analytical ROI.With PhD physics research, analytics and HE learning management experience, this made me the ideal choice as Head of the Institute of the Motor Industry’s (IMI) UKCES funded ROI Research Programme, successful beyond expectations, which led to my current role as Head of Return on Investment and Research at the Institute of the Motor Industry incorporating IMI’s commercial Analytical ROI consultancy to corporate and public sector entities.As Head of the ROI Programme, IMI developed compelling UK-wide ROI case studies that made and won the economic argument for employer investment in skills spanning the spectrum of automotive retail careers from IMI’s model proving up to 300% employer payback within a technician apprenticeship to the process that drives financial and business benefits of management training and degree level strategic management and leadership development.I have a 20+ year track record of published scientific research and extensive experience of international science communication. I was the architect and co-author of a University of Leicester accredited (graduate certificate) development programme for high potentials within the De Beers Group to learn and experience the multidisciplinary end-to-end elements of the diamond value chain from rough diamond resourcing, the science of natural (and synthetic) diamond, diamond gemmology, diamond sorting, marketing and luxury diamond jewellery retail.
