I am innovative theatre and film director with 13+ years of experience, committed to telling stories that offer healing to both the audience and the collaborators in the room. I specialize in Musical Theatre, Shakespeare, and new work development.I am the Artistic Director of Gaisma Theatre Group in Seattle, and the Artistic Associate of New York Theatre Barn in New York City. At New York Theatre Barn, I am the lead producer of Backstage Pass, a podcast the gives the audience inclusive access to the artists shaping the landscape of the modern musical theatre.As an educator, I have guest directed at numerous institutions and taught internationally.I graduated from The New School in New York City with my MFA in Directing in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, converting my thesis production of Richard from a physical production to a film caputred on Zoom.I did my undergraduate work at the University of Washington Honors Program in Seattle. I graduated magna cum laude with a double degree in Drama and Comparative Literature. I’m extremely adaptable and innovative. I’ve been recognized for my dramaturgical abilities, and spent several years in arts administration at The 5th Avenue Theatre, one of the nation\'s leading regional musical theatres.
