About Paul Shock

I have over 30 years of leadership experience in diverse environments and 11+ years of IT experience. I am capable of solving tactical problems while keeping strategic focus. Many people can also say that, but what sets me apart is how I lead. I am the type of leader who sees the human aspect in guiding a team to complete projects. No matter what your position is in an organization, we all must manage life events whether they are celebrations or disruptions. I have found success in leading by setting clear expectations and parameters, and delegating responsibility. In addition, I get to know my team and understand their life events. If done properly, work-life balance is not a buzz word, rather it is a way to effectively thrive in both work and life. My best bosses have been the ones who gave me the freedom to do my job and who I knew cared about me and my family. They were the ones who got the best out of me. I try my best to follow their example.
