About Paul Sears
I’m the Founder of Resilient Rover, a relationship-based dog training practice rooted in neuroscience, empathy, and emotional fluency, for both ends of the leash. I help people decode their dog’s behavior not through domination, but through trust, clarity, and connection. Because behind every bark, lunge, or freeze is a message. I teach people how to listen. We also run a Mobile Dog Photography Studio that travels across the Bay Area, popping-up at breweries, bars, street fairs, pet stores, and community events. With 500+ dogs photographed and counting, it’s more than a cute pic. It’s a testament to emotional safety in action. Our approach to training helps dogs settle, connect, and shine. We’ve also recently launched Doggie Event Coordination, offering paws-on planning for doggie events. Whether it’s a birthday party, gotcha-day celebration, adoption event, toy drive, or company party, we bring deep experience in planning, project management, logistics, and experience design. And who wouldn\'t want a certified dog trainer on-site to help keep everyone safe and happy. Before founding Resilient Rover, I spent over two decades in advertising, marketing, and PR—working across disciplines such as media planning, client service, strategic planning, UX, events, and even a bit of creative. That multifaceted path sharpened my instincts for communication, collaboration, and emotional insight—skills that now shape every leash I hold and every client I coach.I still lead a handful of executive workshops through The Navigator Collective, but my primary focus is the human-canine bond: helping dogs feel safe, helping humans feel capable, and helping everyone breathe a little easier.Let’s connect—whether you’re navigating a leash-reactive dog, a pet-positive brand event, or your own next chapter.Specialties- Emotionally intelligent dog training grounded in neuroscience and the P.E.T. framework (Partnership, Empathy, Trust)- Training plans for reactivity, anxiety, and overarousal- Coaching for families and individuals on reading dog body language, managing threshold, and building resilience- Personal brand building for moments of growth and transition- Workshop facilitation that bridges AI, behavioral science, and emotional learningCertifications- CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer)- Certified in Agile & Design Thinking
