A dedicated Security Manager, I lead and oversee a team of over 20 professionals responsible for security and reception duties at a high-security, secure location. My role includes the following key responsibilities:Leadership and Supervision:Manage a diverse team, ensuring effective coverage and performance across all shifts. Implement strategic rota planning to address staffing needs, including managing absences and ensuring smooth operations.Process and Procedure Review and Improvement:Conduct thorough analyses of existing processes to identify areas for enhancement ensuring optimal execution of value led client tasks. Implement improvements aimed at reducing errors, reducing waste and driving performance.Recruitment and Development:Oversee the recruitment of professional security staff capable of meeting stringent requirements and whose values and objectives align with our companies and our clients.Conduct performance reviews and create bespoke development plans for team members, promoting personal growth and skill development and succession planning. Client Liaison:Serve as the primary point of contact for our client, ensuring open lines of communication, transparency, understanding and delivering exceptional service in alignment with our mutual high expectations.Compliance and Clearances:Operate within a designated secure site, managing a team where all personnel are required to obtain high-level government clearances, ensuring adherence to strict compliance protocols.This role demands I have strategic oversight, a commitment to continuous improvement, and an ability to develop a proactive and highly skilled team in a demanding security environment.Responsible for a team of over 20 staff members across different disciplines. Recruitment, retention, training, rostering, internal investigations, cost control and continuous improvement.
