ABOUT PAUL PERRY

I’m a London Market project and resilience leader modernising operations and delivering practical change that sticks.Working at the intersection of business, risk and technology, I help regulated organisations cut through complexity, remove barriers and turn strategic and regulatory intent into clear, workable outcomes. At Apollo Syndicate Management, I’ve led cross-functional initiatives across Claims transformation, Operational Resilience and Third-Party Risk.I led Project ADEPT, a nine-month Claims transformation delivered across three workstreams with IT, Data and external vendors. We implemented Straight-Through Processing with DocoSoft, embedding automation into triage and loss assessment, alongside advanced data modelling and interactive dashboards that strengthened reserving insight, improved prioritisation and enhanced visibility of potentially severe claims.Alongside this, I’ve led Operational Resilience activity across several Important Business Services — defining impact tolerances, coordinating scenario testing and supporting self-assessment activity to ensure regulatory expectations translate into clear ownership and operational clarity. I also delivered and embedded a Third-Party Risk Management platform, onboarding material Tier 1 suppliers and strengthening contract governance in close partnership with business and vendor teams. My approach is pragmatic and people-centred. I lead with emotional intelligence and a servant leadership mindset, breaking complex challenges into manageable parts and maintaining momentum under pressure. Before joining the London Market, I spent nearly two decades in the British Army, an experience that shaped my calm decision-making, structured execution and belief in strong, accountable teams.Outside of my core role, I serve on the committee of the Institute of Insurance in Royal Tunbridge Wells and act as an Associate Lecturer with Minerva Elite Performance, supporting students progressing towards MBA-level qualifications.I’m increasingly focused on client-facing and advisory opportunities, collaborating with stakeholders to solve complex resilience, risk and transformation challenges across regulated and non-regulated environments.Feel free to connect or reach out.
