ABOUT PAULO CASADO

I feel very fortunate for all the different disciplines and people I had the chance to be exposed to during approximately 10 years working in environmental studies as a hydrogeologist. Long before that though, I was fascinated by the advances in technology I could experience in my youth back in Brazil. It seems yesterday that my older brother and I were disputing the seat in front of a x386 machine typing commands on MS-DOS to execute games such as Prince of Persia, or Maniac Mansion. Feels funny realizing what has changed since my first time connecting to the World Wide Web. In my recent journey as a Software Developer, I have been exposed to important programming design concepts in different languages such as Assembly, C, C++, and C#. I had the chance to follow Agile methodologies, Object-Oriented design patterns and develop client-server applications for Web, Windows and Linux environment. In this context, I have particular interest in exploring the capabilities and uncountable services we now have available not only in computers, but also in hand held devices. I believe there is still a lot of room for integrating more conservative expertise areas to the convenience that software development can produce.
