ABOUT PAUL NELSON

With over 37 years of experience in the rail sector, I am a Senior Project Advisor at Mace Consult, a global consultancy firm. I have a track record of leading and delivering complex and challenging projects across various domains, such as new station development, network enhancements, and infrastructure upgrades.In my current commission, I am supporting the delivery of the MetroLink programme in Dublin as a Project Manager, to help drive progress across a complex, high-profile transport scheme. I focus on ensuring strong governance, effective stakeholder alignment, and readiness for key delivery milestones.I bring a solid background in rail infrastructure, having previously worked closely with Network Rail to provide project management and sponsor support, strategic advice, and stakeholder coordination across complex, multi-party projects. This experience enables me to navigate challenging interfaces, manage competing priorities, and support informed decision-making across the project lifecycle.I am particularly motivated by solving complex problems, improving how projects are delivered, and continuously developing my skillset. I look for opportunities to add value within major infrastructure programmes and contribute to their successful delivery.
