Provided construction oversight services for the rehabilitation of an existing historic building into a boutique hotel in downtown Boston, MA. He developed a punch list of work items needed to complete the project in accordance with project plans and specifications by combining the existing list developed by the buyer’s PCA consultant, the existing list developed by the construction contractor, and items identified during daily inspections by Mr. Morelli. He maintains the punch list and updates the status of items on the list through the completion of construction; notifies the buyer of issues requiring resolution and makes recommendations for resolutions. He develops and issues construction status reports on a weekly basis, or at the frequency desired by the buyer; oversees project commissioning; monitors permit closeouts; and monitors the construction contractor’s delivery of closeout items such as O&M Manuals, as-built drawings, building systems training, spare parts, etc.Also provided construction oversight services on renovation/upgrade projects at Logan International Airport, representing the owner, the Massachusetts Port Authority. Projects included Terminal B, Gates 30 to 36 renovations, including new carpet/painting and new electrical floor boxes for new furniture and new furniture installation; and renovations to improve the appearance of the Terminal C Pier A arrivals level corridor, which included new Men’s & Women’s bathrooms, new interior finishes and curtain walls/storefront. His primary duties included ensuring that all construction work was performed in accordance with construction contract plans and specifications; resolving construction issues in the field; writing daily reports; and coordinating all work with airport operations, airport maintenance, airport capital programs, airline terminal managers, commercial airlines, designer, and construction contractor personnel, in order to minimize the impact to the traveling public.
