About Paul Mietz Egli

Paul joined the Nonprofits team at AWS because he is committed to connecting community-based organizations with the best technology to help them achieve their missions. A data strategy expert, he frequently shares his expertise through speaking engagements, webinars, and workshops on topics ranging from Generative AI to data governance. Paul also is able to roll up his sleeves and design custom solutions for nonprofits. He drove the launch of the Nonprofit Solutions Library (https://aws.amazon.com/solutions/nonprofits/) and created or curated dozens of solutions for targeted customer use cases. He has over 30 years of experience in software engineering, engineering management, and product delivery.Outside of work, Paul volunteers with local organizations focused on ending homelessness, supporting foster youth, and preserving the environment. He composes and performs music and is currently building a custom synthesizer from scratch. When the weather is good - and sometimes when it is not - you can find him running the forest trails around his home in Santa Cruz, California.
