My name is Paul Merrill. I\'m a writer specializing in creative content and scripts for television, film, video games, and advertising. Some of the work I\'ve done includes: MARKETING: I\'ve written promotional videos for Microsoft, The Gates Foundation, Real Networks, and T-Mobile, including an Avengers spoof that I really wish I could show you. COPY WRITING: I\'ve written copy for print, email and the web for companies like Getty Images, Microsoft, Vulcan and many more. TELEVISION: I was a writer and actor on the Emmy Award-winning PBS show Biz Kid$, writing dozens of short comedy sketches that needed to target specific educational goals about business and money management (a subject I knew nothing about when I started). I\'ve also written dozens of screenplays for film and television, including a spec script for 30 Rock that was a finalist in the Scriptapalooza writing competition. NARRATIVE DESIGN / VIDEO GAMES: Over the past decade I\'ve worked as a narrative designer, writing scripts and additional material for over 30 titles, including the Xbox One launch title Forza Motorsport 5. During that time I\'ve worked with producers and designers to help create dozens of original characters and worlds and written extensively for licensed characters like Spider-Man, Barbie, Thomas the Tank Engine, The Lion King and Disney Fairies. I also helped develop characters for the popular \"Backyard Sports\" series for Humongous Entertainment, writing for both fictional players and real-life athletes like Ken Griffey, Jr, Kevin Garnett and Brett Favre. PRINT / ONLINE: Wrote \"Pups: The Official Nintendogs Handbook\" for Nintendo as well as the official Nintendo Power strategy guides for Battalion Wars and Animal Crossing: Wild World. I\'ve also written articles for Cartel Magazine, Flip Collective and Slam Magazine. I\'m currently writing a book about the late, great Seattle Supersonics.
