ABOUT PAUL MITCHELL

I’m a senior product and technology leader with more than 28 years in the maritime and satellite communications industry. My focus is on building and leading teams that deliver real, usable technology, products that make operations simpler, smarter and more connected across a global customer base.As Director of Global Product Development at Satcom Global, I sit on the senior management team alongside the CEO, COO and CCO. I’m responsible for the strategy, design and delivery of all our core products and systems, from internal OSS/BSS platforms and automation projects to customer-facing solutions like IPSignature, AuraNow and the GlobalNet portal. I manage global development teams in the UK and Thailand and work directly with major partners, suppliers and customers to deliver on both commercial and technical goals.My background as a CIMA-qualified accountant means I combine strategic thinking with a strong grasp of financial and operational performance. I enjoy working at the point where business, technology and people meet, translating ideas into products that genuinely make a difference.Outside work, I volunteer as Group Lead for the 9th Whitley Bay Scout Group. I’m also a qualified climbing and airgun instructor, running regular activities for young people and helping them build confidence and teamwork skills.
