About Paul Luntsford

Paul is President of PLA Designs, Inc, a nationally recognized, award-winning firm with offices in Portland, OR and Seattle, WA, specializing in Theater Planning and Lighting Design. He has been a lighting designer and assembly space consultant since 1976. Paul is a fully accredited member of the ASTC - American Society of Theatre Consultants, is a member of the USITT - United States Institute for Theater Technology and a 30 year member of the IESNA - Illuminating Engineering Society of North America. He has written articles for national publications regarding design of performing arts and other assembly spaces, and periodically participates in regional workshops, teaching theatrical design techniques. Although Paul’s educational background is in architecture and engineering, his lifelong passion since childhood has been performing arts, effects, scenic creation and imaginary environments. This passion has led him to join in local and regional live and studio production on the technical and design side. His portfolio of projects is national in scope, consisting of professional and educational Performing Arts Centers, broadcast facilities, museum and theme park attractions, neighborhood churches and mega-church worship centers.
