I am currently on a long term engagement with the NYC School Construction Authority as a contingent employee within their Industrial and Environmental Hygiene Division. I support their due diligence efforts related to property acquisitions, school expansions, lease renewals, and new leases; their Universal Pre-K/3K initiative; and the Gym Expansion initiative. Due diligence initiatives include Phase I/Phase II ESAs, Indoor Air Quality Studies, and Soil Vapor Intrusion studies. I select and engage their contract environmental consultants to implement the due diligence projects, review and approve their work schedules/scopes/budgets, and ensure the work produced is the highest quality and meets or exceeds the stringent criteria set forth by the SCA. I actively participate in project feasibility reviews with senior-level representatives of each department, to communicate environmental issues discovered during the due diligence process for each new school development project I am assigned.
