ABOUT JOSH PAUL

Josh serves as the SVP, Chief Accounting Officer at Palo Alto Networks. Josh leads the global accounting operations, financial reporting, internal control function and finance shared services. He also leads transformation initiatives and drives operational excellence across the organization.Prior to joining Palo Alto Networks, Josh was at Alphabet (Google). In this capacity, he was responsible for leading Alphabet’s corporate accounting, technical accounting and policy, SEC reporting, and treasury accounting functions.Josh was previously an audit partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). He has diverse experience serving a variety of companies including Fortune 500 public companies. Josh was also in PwC’s National Office and handled hundreds of client consultations. He focused on critical accounting and reporting areas, such as revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, and business combinations. Josh regularly spoke at firm, client and industry events nationwide.Josh also served as a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. In this role, he engaged with registrants on complex accounting and reporting matters, monitored the activities of professional accounting standard-setting bodies both in the United States and internationally, and contributed to various regulatory matters affecting the U.S. capital markets.A graduate of the University of San Diego and a Certified Public Accountant in California.
