Radar Techniques Development Meteorologist Serves as a Radar Techniques Development Meteorologist in the RADAR Operations Center FRB (Field Requirements Branch). Conducts expert-level analyses of complex weather patterns or develops advanced techniques within a meteorological specialty area. The primary purpose of this position is to conduct real time and post radar analysis, Data Quality Analysis and reports and Wind Farm analysis and reports. The incumbent provides NWS liaison with core partners, defines and validates national requirements for ongoing scientific and technical advancements for effective new technologies to derive and disseminate critical weather, water, and climate information to users. • Serves as staff specialist for one or more major product areas such as radar meteorology, techniques development, hydrometeorology, aviation, etc. • Serves as radar meteorologist providing updates, analysis, report writing and other tasks to WFO Forecast offices, general public and special user groups. Coordinates products, analysis, and reports
