I am a CIMA qualified MD & Finance Lead with experience across Tourism, Hospitality, Real Estate & Investment, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing and Construction. Expert in building and leading high performing teams, I embed a positive culture to drive passion for performance and delivery, and yield sustainable results. I worked as MD of Mackintosh at the Willow from Feb 2019 - Aug 2023 with responsibility for running a multi-faceted heritage hospitality social enterprise. Highlights from this role include: Leading re-strategisation of a complex business model consisting of 5 streams to drive growth, restarting the business, increasing event bookings by 200% post-pandemic and growing the reputation positively.Obtaining £633k funding to maintain business operations during the pandemic. Navigating ever-changing and unprecedented market conditions, primarily due to the pandemic, increasing average spend per head by c.45% and achieving ranking of 54 out of 1,690 restaurants in Glasgow. Achieving Traveller’s Choice from TripAdvisor in 2020, 2021 & 2022, placing MAW in the top 10% of restaurants in the world on TripAdvisor.By analysing and interpreting financial information I develop an intricate understanding of risks and opportunities and contribute to informed decision making. I am skilled at establishing robust strategies that focus on what really matters without preventing scope for individual creativity. I negotiate and influence to prioritise conflicting requirements and deal with challenges in dynamic operating environments. I am recognised for carving local strategic partnerships and developing products and services to deliver a unique customer experience.
