Effective Risk Management is an independent fee based consultant that helps clients reduce their liabilities and potential cost of risk through professional attention to risk identification, evaluation and treatment programs. We assist clients with risk related strategies to help protect assets and stabilize and improve the client’s long term financial position. ERM does not sell insurance nor is it affiliated with any insurance brokerage or insurance company. We work directly for risk bearers (buyers of insurance or self-insureds), attorneys, CPAs and other business consultants to assist with claims or insurance negotiations, review and develop protective contract clauses, perform due diligence audits and respond to insurance and other risk related questions. Our emphasis is on problem solving.For some clients we act as a part-time risk manager advising the CEO, COO, CFO or Corporate Counsel on day to day decisions and assisting with on-going program administration. This might include exposure identification; evaluation of indemnification, hold harmless and insurance clauses in contracts; advising on claims, risk control, and insurance program design and marketing; designing RFQs and RFPs for service providers; evaluating and recommending updates to risk financing programs, reviewing insurance applications and insurance policies, verifying workers’ compensation dividend or classification data, evaluating performance of service providers, educating client personnel and officers and directors, conducting due diligence reviews for loan covenants, bond or other contract compliance and assisting with other risk related activities.We also serve attorneys as an expert witness or expert consultant pre-litigation and during litigation including case evaluation and organization, declarations, reports, deposition and trial testimony.
