House Smart Surveying is a fast-growing property surveying business with ambitions to scale. I’ve joined as Director of Operations, with a remit to take stock of the entire operation and prepare the business for its next phase of growth.My focus areas include:People & Performance – shaping a high-performing culture across surveyors, sales, and support staff, ensuring clarity on roles, accountability, and reward.Commercial Growth – strengthening our sales funnel, developing partnerships (estate agents, mortgage brokers, panel firms), and securing new revenue opportunities.Operational Excellence – reviewing processes end-to-end (from lead generation through to report delivery), identifying efficiencies, and implementing scalable systems.Profitability – building insights, dashboards, and measures that drive smart decision-making, with a target to significantly grow profit over the next 12 months.Innovation & Partnerships – exploring new services, technology integrations, and strategic alliances that extend our offer to customers and partners.This role allows me to combine my background in commercial leadership and process improvement with a passion for building sustainable, people-first businesses. It’s about clarity, consistency, and scale — putting the right structure in place today so we can achieve ambitious growth tomorrow.
