   I\'ve been exploring human motivation for 40 years from a hard-science perspective and my ideas are transforming workplaces worldwide.My critically acclaimed book,\"Primal Management: Unraveling the Secrets of Human Nature to Drive High Performance,\" was published in May, 2009 by the American Management Association. It describes a human-performance technology for getting the best out ourselves and our people. This technology consists of:1) A conceptual framework for understanding motivation and a vocabulary for discussing it,2) A simple, 7-quesiton survey to measure motivation, and 3) A leadership methodology to improve the score. I have turned the ideas in Primal Management into into an online, employee-engagement tool called The Horsepower System. This revolutionary tool helps companies measure and improve employee engagement and is commercially available in English, German, Spanish and Japanese.
