So how do you get enough protein?”I lost count of how many times I heard that growing up as a vegetarian kid in the 90s. Looking back, it was a fair question - my options were awful.It wasn’t just protein, either. I’d scan ingredient lists on sweets hoping for good news… only to find gelatine again. Bowling alley parties followed a similar script: burgers for everyone else, chips for me, and pretending I didn’t mind standing out.Fast forward to today and the world of nutrition, supplements and functional food has transformed.
