With a rich tapestry of experience spanning various facets of the life sciences industries, I have had the opportunity to lead and contribute to transformative projects on a global scale. One notable accomplishment was directing the hospital lab and outreach program at Stanford Health, where I played a critical role in enhancing lab services for Stanford and Lucille Packard Children\'s Hospitals, while extending outreach services to external physician clients. My leadership facilitated the comprehensive overhaul of the hospital-wide Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), physician EHR/PMR interfaces, IT tools and lab applications, and the replacement of the transfusion services LIS, underscoring my commitment to innovation and operational efficiency. My proactive approach allowed me to successfully address challenges beyond my initial scope, including organizational development, IT collaboration between hospital and laboratory departments, materials management, compliance, and financial reporting—making me the go to leader that Stanford Hospital’s executive leadership counted on.Among my most significant contributions, were spearheading hospital laboratory automation initiatives, enhancing laboratory and IT systems, and transfusion services Lean improvements that avoided hiring 10 additional FTEs and $2 million in construction costs while improving the services efficiency by 75%. I also undertook restructuring laboratory materials management, resulting in a 30 day $1.4 million reduction in inventory and annual savings of leadership also extended to the creation of the CTI Pathology and UCLA Health collaboration in China, where I led the planning and operationalization of a joint-venture, high-complexity laboratory adhering to US CAP standards, making available top-tier medical laboratory services across China.Beyond laboratory services, my career includes developing life sciences business units focused on diagnostic products, healthcare IT and AI solutions, medical devices, and new emerging technologies.
