About Paul Englis

I\'m a communicator, marketer, and program manager that builds, deploys, and manages programs and technology solutions. The enduring thread of my professional life is my work with start-up businesses, including several at Microsoft. I currently work with the Datacenter Community Development (DCCD) team within the Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) organization. CO+I designs, builds, and operates Microsoft’s global cloud infrastructure, and the DCCD team is the community engagement group for CO+I.

   In 2017, Microsoft formed a team to work on community development in communities where Microsoft operates datacenters. I joined the team to initiate external and internal communications about those investments. My role has evolved to lead a team that focuses on community research, engagement planning, and targeted content to support the siting, development, and operations of Microsoft\'s global cloud infrastructure. We created the first community-focused blog that helps us communicate with neighbors and community stakeholders about the work we are doing in their communities.(https://local.microsoft.com) I also act as a Microsoft spokesman to community audiences in support of this work.
