WORK HISTORY
Founder @Hr Strategies Today
HR Strategies Today is a direct result of my need to hire top performing employees from my own businesses combined with my interest in psychology.Sometimes my hiring success at DataTech was embarrassingly bad and as a result it was costing me hundreds of thousands of dollars each year in recruiting, training, and wasted management costs, as well as ruined customer relationships. While I was doing “OK” and probably better than the industry average, the waste amounted to an invisible tax on my profits so I decided to find a solution. This led me to discover the science and technology of psychometric assessments. While there are almost five hundred assessments in the marketplace, I found that there were very few (<10) than could reliably deliver help me to- Select people most likely to succeed in a job- Accelerate the time required for people to become fully productive in a new role- Improve alignment and communication between managers and employees- Reduce employee absenteeism and turnover- Increase sales performance and customer loyalty- Enable strategic workforce management and succession planning- Increase overall workforce capability, productivity, and agilityI now have a decade of experience using assessments in my own businesses and supporting clients that range in size from less than twenty employees to more than thirty thousand employees. ABOUT PAUL ENDRESS
Teams rarely fail because of lack of talking (although sometimes they do.)They fail because what’s said in meetings, messages, and video calls isn’t what’s heard or understood — both within teams and between them. That gap between what’s meant and what’s heard is where trust breaks down, communication falters, and performance starts to slip. And unfortunately, I learned that the hard way. After leading several of my own companies, I saw how often good ideas, smart people, and solid plans fell apart — not because the strategy was wrong, but because communication was. Those experiences made me want to understand why capable people — all working toward the same goal — so often miss each other completely. That question has guided me for almost 20 years as I’ve studied how people think, connect, and communicate — and helped leaders use that knowledge to build teams that collaborate instead of collide. It’s what ultimately led me to create Communication Styles 2.0™ — a practical, research-based online assessment that helps people recognize their own communication patterns and bridge the gap with others who communicate differently.Today, leaders and teams use it to uncover blind spots, build trust, and strengthen alignment across departments — turning everyday communication into a competitive advantage.Beyond the assessment, I continue to work with organizations through speaking, consulting, webinars, and workshops that bring these insights to life — helping teams apply what they’ve learned in real conversations, meetings, and decisions. My philosophy is simple: When people truly understand each other, trust grows, collaboration clicks, and results follow.Whether you’re already focused on improving communication — or just have a sense that something’s not working as well as it could — let’s connect. There’s also a complimentary version of Communication Styles 2.0™ available for leaders and HR professionals who want to explore the insights firsthand.Because when people finally understand each other, everything else starts to work, and I look forward to helping you create a culture where people actually understand each other!
