The legal profession’s specialization can make it difficult to find one lawyer who is comfortable addressing a wide range of legal issues. For more than two decades, I’ve been privileged to develop trial and appellate advocacy skills in a wide range of practice areas. My work rests on three core principles: Clarity The law can be complicated and nuanced. A case may involve many contested facts, but its outcome may depend on only a few key facts. I bring clarity to cases by helping clients understand a legal problem, develop realistic goals, focus on what matters, and prepare an efficient and cost-effective plan for solving their problem. Purpose The goal of litigation is elusive when purpose is lacking. Purposeful action happens when the lawyer helps the client choose the appropriate tools at the proper time to accomplish the client\'s objective. I help my clients act with purpose by helping them identify and use the appropriate procedures and substantive law that supports their position. Results There should be harmony between a case\'s results and the client\'s goals. Results are attainable in more than one way. Sometimes litigation is the best avenue for realizing the client\'s goals, while at other times settlement is the better option. I assist clients to secure results consistent with their goals by working hard to protect their interests ethically, legally, and responsibly, regardless of how the case ends. Guided by these principles, I help clients avoid unnecessary litigation and maximize their advantage when litigation is needed.
