Full-Time Founder. Part-Time Youth Advocate and Mentor. Traditional textbooks simply aren’t able to keep up with ever-changing industries. By the time young adults graduate, the curriculum is already outdated. Education is a powerful tool, but starting points will always differ for each student. So, instead of complaining or dwelling on the way I often felt about a system that failed me as a kid, I decided I would actually do something about it. When I am not publishing articles on forbes.com or ghostwriting content for some of the world\'s most influential business leaders, I am spending time with my students at George Brown College. I am a Professor in the Centre for Preparatory & Liberal Studies division and my course is called Business Communications. Through personal stories, real-world experience and industry knowledge, I equip students with the tools and advice they need to develop a sense of self, contribute to society in meaningful ways and build the confidence to stand up for what they believe in. By way of an imaginative and interactive delivery, I design unique curriculums that fosters problem solving and critical thinking skills in addition to creating a safe learning environment for young people to thrive in. Other duties include: tutoring and academic counseling, assessing student coursework, conducting research and fieldwork, and networking with others in the field.
