ABOUT PAUL HACKETT

I’m Paul, a high performing senior professional with +20 years of engineering and manufacturing experience. Starting my career as an apprentice on the shop floor, I’ve since worked as a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer, Service Engineer, Draftsman, Production Engineer, Production Manager, Design Manager, Operations Manager, Technical Lead, General Manager and Managing Partner. I thrive in a role that combines hands-on technical responsibilities with an office based business management/development element. Previously General Manager at Puma Engineering & Construction Ltd, with key input into business planning and strategy. Previously I led the successful restart of Chemring Countermeasures Ltd following enforced shutdown due to a major incident, including obtaining HSE approval. I’m accustomed to managing major projects of up to £20m, including successful installation of 6 anaerobic digestion plants (UK, Netherlands and South Africa) and delivery of new manufacturing facilities (Edale Ltd, SEaB Energy Ltd, Trygar Engineering). Between 2016 and 2018, I was Managing Partner of Trygar Engineering Ltd. I’m a renewable energy specialist, specifically small-scale anaerobic digestion, CHPs and biogas equipment. Highly entrepreneurial and creative, I am passionate about pushing the boundaries of innovation through design and engineering. My engaging leadership style gets respect and results.
