ABOUT PAUL COOPERRIDER

Prepares companies and organizations for growth and success in the Knowledge-based economy (KBE).As we look into the future, there is a confluence of trends and forces that will put a premium on companies that can exploit new business models and commercialize technologies grounded in strong intellectual property (IP). In the long term, the world will inexorably move towards increasing connectedness, and as a result, increasing globalization. The rise of automation will continue to supplant many manual manufacturing jobs. Businesses will increasingly exploit and depend on nearly instantaneous sharing of information with key stakeholders, both within the business and with collaborators/partners in their business model. Productivity will increasingly depend on progress along two vectors - more effective decision making and more efficient use of resources. I believe these two vectors are hallmarks of a Knowledge-based economy (KBE), and will require that companies harness technologies that align with and drive them, as well as adopting business models that accelerate deployment and market penetration. At the same time, companies and organizations need to evolve their business and operational models to facilitate the ability to compete effectively in a KBE. The educational model around rote learning (the 3 R\'s), which was effective for the second industrial revolution, needs to evolve into the 3 C\'s (Critical thinking, Collaboration, and Constructive innovation). Companies and organizations need to transform their business and operational models to embrace the 3 C\'s, as well as other processes that promote 1) more effective decision making and 2) more efficient use of resources.
