As BC\'s Parliamentary Secretary for Trade, I lead government\'s efforts to expand global market access, strengthen international partnerships, and accelerate investment into BC, Canada. My work focuses on trade diversification, tariff mitigation, and economic-security strategy—advancing government\'s competitive position.In my legislator role as Chair of Finance & Government Committee and a member of the Cabinet Treasury Board, I help oversee the government\'s fiscal framework, statutory-office accountability, and multi-billion-dollar public budgets. This portfolio allows me to apply rigorous economic and legal analysis to provincial budgeting, regulatory design, and long-term economic planning.My professional background spans law, governance, public safety, and corporate leadership. As a lawyer, I have advised clients in business, corporate, criminal, and human-rights matters. My governance experience includes serving on the Board of Governors at Kwantlen University, vice-chairing the Registration Committee of the College of Health and Care Professionals of B.C, and leading economic-development organizations supporting small business and commercial revitalization.I bring an applied economics perspective rooted in evidence-based policymaking, frontline public-service experience, and cross-sector negotiation.
