Lead operations, strategic planning, program administration, and financial management for over ten short-term exchange programs for young professionals including the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), YSEALI Seeds for the Future, Young Pacific Leaders (YPL) programs, STEM LAUNCH, TOMODACHI Leadership Program, Citizen Ambassador Program, and U.S. Embassy grants.• Collaborate closely with U.S. State Department officials to ensure that foreign policy priorities in public diplomacy, security, environment, democratic governance, and human rights are accurately reflected and evaluated in program policies.• Cultivate partnerships and action plans to implement U.S. State Department policies and programs with a range of local and international partners such as other federal agencies and local governments, community-based members, foreign missions, think tanks, foundations, academic institutions, American experts, and the private sector.• Serve as Cultural Vistas’ congressional liaison advocating for international exchanges on Capitol Hill to representatives of the House and Senate with the Alliance for International Exchange and monitor legislative policy and developments affecting international exchanges.• Coordinate with Cultural Vistas’ business development team on designing new program business and assessing implementation of special exchange initiatives.• Effectively analyze, manage, and administer departmental budgets for the Short-Term Exchange Programs Department, at up to $15 million in grant funding in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer. • Supervise a departmental staff of fifteen from the Assistant Program Officer to Assistant Director level including hiring, program training, coaching, grant oversight, and performance evaluation.
