ABOUT PAUL BRAKE

Paul has worked as a licensed Professional Engineer(P.Eng.) for decades, in multiple Canadian jurisdictions. With a degree in mechanical engineering, and a business management minor, from the University of Victoria, together with over three decades of combined industrial, engineering, management, and operations experience, He specializes in bringing process improvements, and Operational Excellence.Ten years of experience as a tradesman and lead hand in manufacturing, prior to obtaining his engineering degree, gives Paul a keen insight into the needs of production, operations and maintenance staff that enables him to work efficiently and effectively in any industrial environment, and build versatile cross functional teams. Paul has a proven history of achieving project success, on time, on budget, on scope, with an exceptional safety and environmental record. He will also transfer his hands on experience incorporating LEAN practices into engineering, operations and maintenance, achieving success in each. Paul\'s mechanical engineering career has encompassed every primary industry including factory automation & robotics, pharmaceuticals, food processing, boilers and furnaces, Class II Medical Devices, mining & smelting, oil refining, pulp and paper, water & wastewater systems and equipment, groundwater and soil remediation, cryogenics and industrial gases. Paul is also listed as Inventor on Canadian and US patents.Paul offers the knowledge and insights gained from from decades of management and technical opportunities, in all operational capacities as well as acting as a liaison with outside contractors, unions, and regulatory bodies.Paul is also a contributing author to Water Online, Control Engineering and Plant Engineering magazines. Paul also has two patents to his name, the demonstrate his unique, and innovative methods.
