About Paul Caulfield

Paul Caulfield began his career as a criminal prosecutor in Manhattan the week before 9/11. Since then, he\'s developed and managed increasingly sophisticated technology solutions to manage risk, compliance and cybersecurity for clients, firms and the financial service communities across the Americas, Israel, China, India and the U.K. His early legal practice was featured in The New York Law Journal and The National Law Journal for leveraging portable, encrypted data (Migo Software) and undercutting the hourly billing model. He later co-founded Fintel Technologies, inventing a patented information sharing platform to combat financial crimes. More recently, he\'s developed an intuitive, holistic solution (R/APTR) to assess and mitigate risks within a variety of modules, including cybersecurity, brokerage, investment advisory and financial crimes via virtual currencies. In the advent of AI, he\'s both overseeing effective LLM risk management as well as establishing dependable AI SMEs to support his teams in Compliance, BSA/AML, Risk and Cybersecurity.Paul\'s focus on technology has contributed to optimizing GRC systems, human capital and multi-$MM budgets, identifying and mitigating geopolitical and cyber risks and developing and deploying proactive programs to address board and investor demands, global regulatory expectations and real-world, existential risks. Paul is certified in information systems security (CISSP), has his Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses and in addition to his full time work, teaches a popular course on financial crimes and effective risk management at Fordham Law School. He speaks Spanish due to his decades working and traveling throughout Latin America.
