I am a Principal Consultant, working with Daemon’s clients to evolve and transform their technology systems in order to meet their business objectives. I work with the client’s staff and other Daemon consultants, providing leadership on architecture design and implementation.During the last year I have been consulting for a major UK retailer, initially working on application development tasks using Java and implementing a configurable email template in HTML/moustache. Then I did some work enhancing their Terraform workflows for Azure and implementing a set of shared workflows in GitHub actions to streamline application CI/CD processes.For the last few months I have been working on an Observability solution for their on premises infrastructure which is deployed by OpenShift. I collected user requirements, assessed a number of potential solutions and presented several options to senior management, with recommendations. I am now leading the implementation of this solution using Open Telemetry collectors, New Relic, Splunk and Grafana.
