About Paul Boye

Centering young people to expand access to sport- and play-based social and emotional learning (SEL) across Chicago. Let\'s connect! Before Urban Initiatives, I invested in exceptional educators to create equity through school model incubation and education innovation with CICS. Previously, I led buildOn\'s work across the U.S. with amazing high school students to change the world through service. Prior to my time at buildOn, I taught middle school in Chicago’s public schools, primarily on the West and Northwest Sides. We achieved some important results, and I am most grateful for the opportunity to have grown with and learned from my students at least as much as they did from me. After growing up in Lincoln, Nebraska, I graduated with honors from Northwestern University and am proud to call Chicago home. I’m passionate about equity, education, youth, leadership, health, human rights, and social progress. If you are too, we should connect.
