I founded this firm with Bill Hunt, Shelby Floyd & Louise Ing (and a group of 5 other lawyers) in 1991. We have grown into the largest litigation and dispute-resolution-focused law firm and 4th largest firm in Hawai`i. The larger firms-all more than 90 years old-are traditional full service firms. In contrast, we focus on counseling and representing clients in (1) pending or threatened disputes and matters which have a high potential for resulting in disputes (such as corporate restructuring);(2) government relations;(4) labor and employment;(5) healthcare; and (6) real estate disputes. We also handle selected business and real estate transactions and healthcare related regulatory matters.
