Teaching the Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) course \"Artificial Intelligence: Ethical Implications & Societal Impact.\" Students explore fundamental questions at the heart of contemporary AI debates: How does AI reinforce or disrupt existing power structures? Who is accountable when algorithmic systems replace or shape human judgment in hiring, welfare administration, democratic processes, and defense? What forms of work, creativity, and leadership remain distinctly human in an AI-driven economy? And how should AI be governed to balance innovation, fundamental rights, democratic legitimacy, and sustainability?

ABOUT PAULA CIPIERRE

For more than a decade, I\'ve helped private and public organizations translate legal requirements into technical design and everyday organizational practice. I am a certified privacy professional (CIPP/E, CIPP/A, GDD cert. EU), ISO27001 information security auditor (TÜV Süd), and AI governance professional (AIGP). I am an expert in European data protection (GDPR) and AI law (AI Act). My goal is to help companies implement these laws in ways that advance their strategic objectives. I am passionate about engaging with the public on the ethics of big data and AI. I regularly run workshops on responsible AI, and speak at relevant conferences and events. I have published numerous articles about data law and policy, and have co-authored a book about what we can learn from art to shape the future with software. I seek meaningful connections with people that care deeply about the impact of technology on society. If you meet this description, feel free to reach out.
