I lead Eversheds Sutherland international privacy, data protection and cyber security practice and currently provide advice on information law to a broad range of clients globally. My practice includes data protection, cyber security, record retention and freedom of information law with a particular emphasis on international privacy compliance. I\'ve worked in this area for over 20 years and enjoy helping clients to manage their risks both day to day operationally within the fast moving data protection and ethical compliance frameworks, explore new product and service development, and providing experienced counsel in response to security incidents and enforcement activity.I\'ve successfully represented clients who are engaged in dialogue with data protection authorities, or contemplating the same, whether in the face of enforcement activity or investigation or data/cyber security breach reporting.My background is in IT law which leaves me well placed to advise on the privacy and cybersecurity law issues arising from the use of technologies including cloud computing, geolocation tools, AI and web based tools. I like exploring new tech - applying the data protection and broader information security law frameworks to this is part of why I love this area of practice.I\'m proud of the privacy and cyber team that we have built in ES over several years globally.
