Lighting Design Manager @Kingfisher Lighting
Started working at Kingfisher Lighting in the design department as a trainee working my way up to a lighting designer and then to my present role. Over the years I have mentored several trainees who have become successful in their profession. Currently I have a team of eight lighting designers, which I supervise and guide who have varying levels of experience in lighting design. My job role has included producing exterior lighting designs to all areas of the market including wholesale, contractor, specifier to the current standards. Attending site meetings to discuss the proposed designs and also commissioning. Most recently my focus has changed to specifier/architect producing comprehensive lighting design packages that include standard 2D lighting plots, Breeam and environmental impact assessments full 3D visualisations including a walk through to show the client how the design will look before installed. Also with the ever changing technology I have had to ensure that I keep abreast of these developments to stay at the forefront of cutting edge technology for the benefit of our clients.
